The Historical Society is a collecting institution. This means we continue to accept and preserve objects, documents and other various items that
represent the county's history. Some of our collection guidelines include:
- Items must relate to the Society's main mission, which is to document the history of Montgomery County, or must be useable as a teaching tool.
- Items must be in good condition and unique for the collection
- Items must be property of the donor and given to the Historical Society without further claim
- Collections offered to the Society may be refused and will not be taken sight unseen.
- All collections are accepted with the understanding that the Historical Society retains the
right to de-accession items as the Board of Trustees deems appropriate.
Call and speak with the Society's Collections Manager to arrange an appoitment.
